Ok, so I bought two jackets at one time because I couldn’t decide. I went to Boot Barn and tried on a Carhartt jacket. I bought an XL and it fit REALLY well! Comfortable, seemed warm (it’s September so I don’t know about how warm it’ll keep me) and it’s strong and heavy but also very maneuverable while wearing. $150 for it.Now to this one. I liked the color and camo design mix of this one a bit better than the Carhartt and read the reviews and thought, heck I can’t decide. So I bought both to compare. I liked the length of the Carhartt. One review said the length of the back was the same as my Carhartt when I measured it, so why not buy it to compare? When I got it today, I immediately requested a return! I don’t know about you, but as a heavy set dude, I don’t like my stomach hanging out of anything, especially my jacket while snow blowing the driveway. The Whitetails jacket is about 4” shorter in the front than the Carhartt jacket! I changed my shorts, but still have on the same shirt. Can’t tell can ya? Also both are XL. The Whitetails is also so much tighter! The Carhartt is comfortable and I can move in it. The Whitetails I can’t move in it.I like the material and design of the Whitetails. It didn’t seem as thick and warm as the Carhartt. Yea, it was $50 less than the Carhartt, but not worth it for the stomach issue alone. If you have a flat stomach, you might dig it tho. It’s nice, just wish it was longer and fit better.
