Stainless steel nails are a must for cedar wood - gloss coated or galvanized nails will leave unsightly marks after rusting and/or (chemical) reaction with cedar wood. I'm working on building a new fence door to replace a broken door, so I bought these ring bars (for adhesion strength) and stainless steel nails to assemble the door. I also rented a 15 degree nailer from a local store for less than $30 - and remember, you'll want to make this whether you're driving 100 nails or 500. did some finishing touches on the fence itself and realized how much it reduces my efficiency. directly by purchasing these 1.75 inch stainless steel ring nails. They are undoubtedly expensive, but worth the money.
