This fan was the perfect size, weight, power and noise level (nice white noise, hum, not too loud). The only problem is that I noticed a burning smell around the engine afterwards. worked. I had to be near the fan and handle it. If you sniff closer, back where the engine is, it definitely smells. Not that it burned, but the smell of burning is the best I can describe. There were no chemicals, grease, plastic or even ozone. It was either the smell of an overheated blender or even more like a fire. However, I will say that it was imperceptible except up close. It is greatly diluted by the jet stream. But who needs it and why does it smell like that? My cheap Honeywell fan doesn't smell like that; I checked.
