I have an old DVD player with Left/Right Audio RCA output and Video RCA output, along with S-Video output. I wanted to hook the DVD player to my multi-HDMI auto-switch. This adapter installed really easy (5 mins) and worked right away. The switch on the side for 720/1080 only works for 720 to me. My TV indicates unsupported or no signal when flipped to 1080. That could be a weakness of my old TV. 720 is every bit as good as I was getting from my Video Out RCA jack. The audio connectors on this converter are female, as are the ones on my DVD output. So I needed to connect it with a Male-to-Male L/R audio (red/white) cable, which are cheap. I had several spare ones from past audio hookups. There are no discernable audio/video delay or sync issues.
