I've used these to freeze homemade baby food. Some notes and tips- each hex is 2 tsp - for me this is perfect for mixing different foods- cleans up well in the dishwasher but doesn't always dry well; the lids are floppy and awkward to put in the dishwasher but still manage to come out clean- cleans up well with just a rinse; sometimes I get lazy about washing and want to make another batch of baby food and just get it in the freezer so I just rinse these and I haven't had any issues- does not stain - I froze blueberries in the yellow one and it is still perfectly yellow- easy to fill once you figure it out: at first I was gently filling each individual hex - this was not smart - now I dump a bunch of pureed food into it and use a butter knife to scrape it around to fill the hexes- food comes out easily - so far everything I've made (grains, beans, chicken, fruits, vegetables, yogurt - not homemade but frozen from the tub so it doesn't expire) pops out pretty easily with just a little pressure on the back of the hex (make sure to bend it all over first); hubby even thought it was fun to pop them out
