Fits iPad Air 4 perfectly and holds Apple Pencil securely with magnetic tab. The stylus already connects magnetically to the iPad, so this added feature ensures it doesn't fall out. My block had no defects. The material from which the case is made resembles a glossy plastic and is transparent. The cover is similar to the stuff on your car steering wheel, like plastic/rubber. The underside of this cover, which wraps around the screen, is soft to the touch and doesn't feel like it could scratch anything. The speaker openings on the case perfectly match the iPad and the volume buttons work seamlessly. The edge of the camera cover is higher than the camera hump, so you don't have to worry about it being scratched when it's placed on a table. If you're buying this for the iPad Air 4, I recommend the ESR screen protector for it. I got both and couldn't ask for a better result. Keep in mind that this case doesn't look like an Otterbox, so you can't throw your iPad under monster truck tires and into a lake, but if you're a functional adult, this case will work wonders.
