I have a scratching post, cardboard scratching boards, fabric scratching boards, poorly supplied oils and lots of money in all sorts of ways to keep my cat from scratching the back of the sofa. Including using foil, which she hated but scrunched up to get to the fabric. Nothing worked before this little rug. I casually put it on the floor and BAM hasn't touched my couch since!
