Having sent the dash cam back earlier I was hesitant to order this but decided to try it as it is a good price. What a different experience! I don't usually write reviews but I think this one deserves a thumbs up. What I like about this product: 1. Quality design and packaging. When it comes to my electronics, I focus completely on design details. This product has the right look - it kind of reminds me of Apple products.2. Ease of installation. First of all, I usually can't install anything myself (including furniture from Ikea). But it's amazingly easy to work with. The mirror itself is attached with just a few clicks. I accepted a previous reviewer's suggestion to visit YouTube - definitely helped! However, I asked my husband for help installing the rear camera. I believe you can have it repaired there by your regular auto mechanic for a small fee. 3. Functionality. That's big. At first I didn't think I would replace the rearview mirror with a screen - I'm a nervous driver. But it's no harder than swiping back and forth across the GPS screen. And I immediately fall in love with the era of all-view driving! It offered me a sharp, wide image from both the rear and front while driving, with very little ambient light interference. It works better than my original rearview mirror in bright sunlight and at night. After installing Acumen, I stopped using the stock backup camera in my car because it gives me a wider view with no difference in distance - in other words, it's more intuitive and closer to what you would see with real eyes. This is especially handy when trying to park your SUV in a narrow and crowded area. Warning: After this you will not be able to return to the "normal" mirror. Video/Recording Quality. I like the idea that you can adjust the length of the video. The quality of the recording is simply amazing, it leaves no "ambiguity". There have been cases of theft in my area. This gives me peace of mind that even when I'm parked, my dash cam will automatically start recording when it detects movement near my car. Life in the metropolis = life prone to car accidents. Again, it's reassuring to know that I have backup proof for the insurance people if an accident happens. One thing I wish they had a picture rich instruction book. Reading fine print is not my thing. Installation photos would be helpful. But overall it's a fantastic addition to my car and I've already recommended it to my family.
