I wear large men's shirts, am 5'6" and about 170 pounds. And wasting 34 inches. After reading the reviews I ordered the small/medium. I would say the sleeve length is ok for me, however the robe folds almost entirely from side to side so yes there is plenty of room if you need it. Whatever your size, order one size down. But for the money it's great and I'm satisfied. Good for the fall-spring season here in the Northeast. Not too hot, not too cold. But for cold winter nights, you definitely need a thicker robe. And for hot summers, it's advisable to have a lighter bathrobe if your house doesn't have air conditioning! The material is light flannel. All cotton. My colors were grey-black and pale red. Both were to my liking. For this money it is worth it.
