No need for the flap. It adds nothing and does not give you the adjustment you think it will. Actually adds somebulk which is not what you're looking for.

First of all, I am 5’10, 220 lbs, athletic build with a small gut size 38 jeans. The support in this slimming vest is moderate to light at best. I was expecting something with a bit heavier material. Noting at all like a nylon weight belt or back brace. A much lighter spandex material. Save your money, returned for a refund.

It's helpful and supportive. But it is a bitch to get into, snapped, and get out of. I get that the hooks might be the only efficient way to keep it tight without the added thickness (or cost) of Velcro strips, but it certainly is unpleasant getting it on. It does do the job though.

I always wear either large or medium sizes but decided to play it safe and order a large much to my dismay as I couldn't even fit into it or put it on. Many months later and I've since lost weight on my own to which I decided to try it on again. It does fit but feels like I couldn't breathe by how tight it was and felt extremely uncomfortable on my ribs that visibly protrude out. I definitely recommend ordering 2 sizes up.

I love the compression. I have a very sensitive stomach that bloats a lot no matter what I eat. The compression makes my stomach feel much better. However, it's very hard to get on and very hard to latch. Once on though it feels great and very comfortable.

Let’s face it. I’m closer to 50 than 40 and had to fit into a Class A uniform for a funeral. While I know how to eat healthy and be trim, my mental health prefers I consume pizza and beer, which inevitably brings on the gut.
