I'm using this vent on a diesel tank that fuels a small diesel heater in my overland trailer. For most applications it's probably an effective solution. In my case I'm hauling the tank inside a plastic bin or directly in the nose box on the trailer, and there is always some diesel leaking from it when we've been driving around. It appears that it's leaking at the actual seal to the tank (which is a metal container), rather than the vent cap itself. I've solved this problem by simply reducing the amount of diesel we carry in the container. If you aren't going to be sloshing fuel around all the time, it would likely be just fine and a good deal for the money.
