I bought this because my MacBook Air 2020 13" only has 2 type connectors and I need mouse and HDMI second monitor Plus USB for USB sticks to download info I bought this dispute it was double the price of others for the same product based on 5 star reviews as I didn't want that - it ruined my laptop. Pros: * It's a good weight so the build looks nice * Color looks nice next to my chrome laptop * USB to wired printer worked Cons: * Mouse doesn't work to a Type-C or USB port for a mouse (my mouse has both ports).I bought it for this exact reason, which means I need to connect a Type-C port to my laptops and I can't use a second monitor with it.* When I plug in a second monitor it gets very hot and when I plug in a charger forget it I have a beach ball. f death. (I hooked up this adapter, the second monitor to HDMI, and the charger, and it got so hot I got a beach ball and locked myself out of my laptop for about 30 minutes.) I had to turn my laptop off and on again. to get it working again because even after force closing all apps it gave me a "waterball" on every simple app. I just talk to the Word doc until I reset it. It didn't start until I plugged it in and made 2 connections from it to my MacBook. Verdict: *I wouldn't recommend this and I wish I'd bought it myself. The main connection I needed it for was a mouse and HDMI, but the USB for the mouse didn't work and the HDMI alone got so hot my laptop started the fan and the beach of death came out.
