I replaced two of my other Macs with the new MacBook Air with the M1 - this is a desktop iMac 21.5 model year mid-2022, which I bought in 2022, and an older MacBook Air 2022 model year, bought a little earlier. By the way, both computers worked perfectly and coped with their functions - I just wanted something newer, more modern. I will not pull the cat by the tail - the MacBook Air on the M1 is just a rocket! As a Mac user, I knew roughly what I would get, but still this laptop was a terrific surprise for me. Well designed, made, works great. Touch ID is very convenient, I got used to the language switch button right away. Two USB-C ports are enough, the lack of a glowing logo is forgivable for all the advantages. The screen is mega. And the biggest gift is autonomy! It really feels like the future has arrived. Of course, the MacBook Air on the M1 works great in Apple's infrastructure. Another surprise for me was that over Wi-Fi it gives out a speed of almost 100 Mbps with my 100 Mbps channel (the Apple Airport Extreme router is in another room behind a concrete wall). At the same time, my old Macs gave out speeds of the order of 60 Mbps. What can we say about the fact that computers on Windiows next to the MacBook Air on the M1 look like some hello from the past :) In general, I definitely recommend - take it, you will not regret it.
