Think carefully before buying this product.

When compared with similar models from other manufacturers, DELL wins only in terms of price (about 15-20% lower than competitors), but you pay this money for the absence of hemorrhoids when using. Some pros: of the advantages, I will only note a relatively small price for top-end hardware and a strict design. Cons below: I'll give you a list: 1) Terrible throttling. On my hardware (RTX 2070 m-q + i7 9750h) it trolls from the first minute of launching any game, it is solved by undervolting and…

The item is very cool, it could be worse.

Under heavy loads, the processor falls into throttling. In games, the temperature tends to 100 degrees. I was not lucky with the screen, on the left in the corner there is a light that I did not immediately notice. The cooling system is shown as a strong point, but it does not cope and the potential of the processor is not revealed. . In order to solve the problem with overheating, I set the undervolting to -150.

Pros
  • Filling. Processor i7 9750H, Video card 2060 RTX - super!
Cons
  • Very noisy, very hot. . (06/13/2022): ATTENTION! About a couple of months ago, a BIOS ate was released, blocking the possibility of UNDERVOLTING, which is vital for this laptop. The utility from Intel XTU turned out to be a failure. Scored on the laptop, did not use, so as not to burn. Today I saw the ates from June 10th. I think, well done dell - fixed the jamb. Installed. Now, at rest, the temperature rises under 100 degrees, the laptop is buzzing, and undervolting is still blocked. There is a suspicion that Dell decided to simply shorten the life of the products that were sold .

I chose to write an incredibly in-depth assessment because there aren't many reviews on this model (which is strange given that the choice proved to be extremely fruitful). The laptop was bought in Hong Kong earlier this month with the following specifications: i5-8300H, 16GB, RTX 2060, 128GB, and W10 (1809). I'm going to state up front that, to the best of my knowledge, E. is not the solution that is obviously the most mobile. The intended use cases are to replace gaming and multimedia…

Pros
  • 1) The i5-8300H/9300H+RTX2060 upgrade has one of the best price/performance ratios on the market as of June or July 2022; alternatives with the i7 + RTX2070 significantly increase the price; 2) Screen (noted both in benefits and drawbacks; for more details, check the list of drawbacks); 3) Keyboard (same as in the previous sentence): quite practical for typing, using tables Plus number block, and having a backlight; 4) The build quality (while lacking the alien design of the chassis and the coating with a soft touch under the wrists, the laptop provides a sense in the hands that is most akin to that of the Alienware m 17x R3/R4 models); 5) The cooling system, both in terms of effectiveness and noise output; 6) Ease of upgradability, disassembly, and maintenance; 7) Many BIOS-a configuration options; 8) Location and selection of ports (almost all modern connectors are available; I'll talk about the card reader in a another area); in addition, the power connector and a few of the ports are located on the device's back.
Cons
  • 1) There is a design problem in one particular model of the touchpad that results in backlash and a less-than-pleasant tactile experience; 2) The device lacks a fingerprint reader. 2) Screen (this is the most contentious point, so I'll say it briefly: for most common tasks, including games, FHD/IPS/60 Hz is a matrix for a solid four, but if you start talking, say, about working with photo/video, even in laptops I saw much better, and in such a scenario I won't put it above the top three on this item); 3) The keyboard requires some getting used to and offers average feedback (which is fine for Word but not great for gaming); in addition, there is a visible deflection and backlash of the switch block on the right side of the keyboard; 4) Installation of the operating system and pre-installed software straight out of the box; Sound (quite average even by laptop standards: roughly 2.5 out of 5; in addition, there is no volume margin) (very average even by laptop standards: conditionally 2.5 out of 5; in addition, there is no volume margin).

One of the best deals, glad I bought this.

A laptop in the configuration Core i7 9750H/16Gb/SSD256+HDD1000/RTX2060/17.3", bought for 100 thousand. For this configuration, for September 2022 it was one of the most affordable offers. I searched and chose a laptop for a month, rummaged through all the reviews, forums and blogs. Before that, there was also a 17-inch Dell 7720, but it is already 6 years old, old man. The laptop was taken for work and sometimes games. It copes with its tasks by 100%.

Pros
  • Performance. Everywhere and in everything. All games run at maximum settings without problems. All programs run quickly and work without friezes. The nvme disk has rather low performance for its class, but in practice there is no difference in reading 1000 Mb / s or 3000 Mb / s. Everything is about the same speed. If desired, you can stick any other 2280 format disk. The screen is excellent. I expected it to be a budget model with a poor screen, but everything turned out to be quite good. There are slight backlight irregularities, but these are rather nit-picking. The picture quality is comparable to normal monitors. There are versions with a 144 Hz monitor, but there the price tag is already quite sky-high. The battery charges very quickly - less than an hour to a full charge. But how long it lasts is not clear until it has been unplugged from the outlet. The main ports are at the back, which is convenient for me personally.
Cons
  • The easily soiled case, glossy above the keyboard and in the dark is a little annoying - the screen is reflected in it. The keyboard is not the full width of the case, for some reason they left a couple of centimeters on the sides. Perhaps because of this, the keys are a little narrower in width, they seem too small. Fn keys of dubious purpose. For example, among them there is no disabling the touchpad - the necessary functionality is enough, but there is a search, which can also be called using the win + q keys. Why this is duplicated on the Fn keys is not at all clear. Disabling the touchpad is solved by windows settings - there is an option to disable the touchpad when a mouse is connected. Very noisy under load, like a vacuum cleaner. The weight. Well, yes, it's heavy, but it's also 17 inches.

Impressions from the purchase are good, buy.

The laptop is definitely good, even taking into account such a nuance as overheating. A little tweaking and everything will be ok. Some pros: A laptop was purchased in December 2022, for games and photo / video editing. My config: Processor - intel core i7-9750H Video card - RTX 2070 MAX-Q 16 gigabytes of RAM. 256 gigabyte SSD and terabyte hard drive. The laptop is well assembled, feels and weighs metal everywhere. The 17 inch screen is big enough for gaming and other tasks. Backlit keyboard…

The design is strict, one might even say premium. The machine does not scream from the fact that it is playable. Ports - a complete set, located on 3 sides. The screen is 17" IPS, although there is no support for 144Hz, but the color rendering setting is good. The colors are natural. The margin for brightness and contrast is sufficient, the black scenes in the films are very well worked out. The matrix backlight is uniform. I will rate it perfectly Filling - for iron, of course, I would like

Pros
  • Strict design, large and high-quality screen, filling, cooling system, autonomy
Cons
  • For this price, there are probably not many of them, the build quality could be higher, the speakers are average, the keyboard is also a little better.

The best thing for the money, I'm glad I chose this option.

I advise you to take it, plus this model, as I understand it, became common not so long ago and it was made by handsome men mainly for themselves With its pros. A successful model - upgrade and maintenance are very convenient - the entire cover opens at the back (9-10 bolts) Smart Cooling Full power only when plugged into an outlet Watch a movie without an outlet - enough for 4-5 hours The screen is visible from any angle Has some cons RAM - 16GB - usually two bars - if you want 32, then buy…

Wonderful quality, one hundred percent satisfied!

I was looking for a gaming laptop, I'm happy with it. I play on the monitor of the laptop, nothing is trolling at the maximum speed of the metro exodus. I recommend. For the money, this is the best option on the market. Has some pros The price / quality ratio is the best at the moment. RTX 2080 and i9 for 148tr (03/20/20). Everything flies at maximum speeds in fhd. Got what I was looking for. Cons below: I don't see much for myself. CO noise, but that was to be expected. Well, ssd can be…

Model G7 17 7790 / i7 9750H / RTX 2060 6 Gb / 1 TB +250 Gb SSD / 32 Gb RAM I took for engineering programs: Autocad, Revit, LW 3D and graphics: Photoshop, LR, etc. It is very good for these purposes: scenes twist, Autocad flies. A powerful device, even with a rear power cord entry, given the case and the tilt of the display, it can be well brought closer to the wall on the table. I don’t play games, there is no throttling in the render, so I didn’t undervolt, I just replaced the RAM with 32 GB…

Pros
  • 1. Good quality matte non-creaking case, strict design. 2. Convenient connectors. 3. Fast and quiet when not in games. 4. Good multitasking, many open applications are not a problem. 5. In my copy, there are almost no flashes, dead pixels are not noticeable, I did not specifically look for it. 6. Fast loading. 7. Compared to Zbook 2022, much more compact and light power supply, soft cord. 8 Thunderbolt 3 9. Embedded Dell EMC product identifier, which is checked for office. site. 10. Matte screen with tight thin bezels.
Cons
  • 1. Noise on rendering in 3D programs and games. In my opinion, it is not critical, but others will notice. 2. Too many pre-installed proprietary software, a lot of unnecessary utilities in autorun, of which the useful Dell power manager. 3. After Windows ates, the Killer control center service crashes. It just stupidly stopped working. Dell support has new firewood, but for some reason the G7 7790 is not compatible. So far I've been careful not to reinstall the utility from the Killer support site. This is a software issue, not a hardware issue.

Chose between Asusami, MSI Stealth and Dell. Thunderbolt 3 was not delivered to Asus, MSI is very noisy and the design is not for everyone, I settled on this device and did not regret it. At the expense of the previous comment - the screw can be attributed to the disadvantages, but why? It's more of a plus than a minus - choose for yourself which one to shove here. You can buy a box for 300r and will be external for photos and videos. And the memory is quite normal, unless of course you need a…

Pros
  • The design is almost Alienware, only in a normal stylish case, without any annoyances. In life, the beech looks better than in the photo. With this, it’s not a shame and an adult uncle can sit and play in the office. Quiet operation (only not in games), the fans are noisy there, but not louder than competitors. The screen is pleasant but not 144Hz, although the older model has 144, but this is solved by replacing the matrix, who needs it. That will be even cheaper. Convenient location of ports, Thunderbolt 3 - you can connect external video cards, etc. The Americans brought RGB backlighting and a fingerprint scanner, so there is something to tune in the future.
Cons
  • The LED on the power button is a little annoying in the dark, it’s very bright, maybe I didn’t figure out how to turn it off, I sealed it with a chip from the Globe, it’s also suitable from other stores), it even turned out pretty. The bios is boring, not the same as in the same asus, on the other hand, it’s not every day to climb into it.

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A great option for this money, I definitely recommend it!

I bought this beech version (8219) to work in CAD programs and sometimes play dot-com. I must say right away that it is worth the money, it met all expectations! First impressions are: - Surprised by the presence of fast charging. In an hour and a half, if not completely, then almost completely charges the battery. - I can't fault the build quality. Very handy rear ledge behind the lid. In the open state, I can carry it with one hand in any position, despite its large weight, it will not fall…

Pros
  • Speed, design, cooling quality, keyboard backlight, ports on 3 sides, sound, touchpad and the most important plus is the connection of the power supply unit at the back, fast charging.
Cons
  • Big weight, BIOS (read the comment).

In general, it will do for games and office work. I have the most expensive version with a 144Hz screen, and 2070, an external 2k monitor is connected - in general, all games fly and work stably, although I made a lot of changes to the configuration - I sold the hard drive, installed an ssd, switched the memory to 2-channel mode ( By default, there was 1 bar of 16GB, I was changed to 2x8), lowered the voltage and frequencies of the processor to remove throttling, ated Windows to Pro (thanks to…

Pros
  • Excellent screen (I have 144Hz), high performance, full maximum set and a very convenient arrangement of ports on the rear panel, excellent, strict, not frilly appearance
Cons
  • Terrible speakers (I have a working Lenovo laptop 5 times cheaper, the speakers are many times louder and better), in general, there is trouble with the sound on this laptop, poor assembly (all backlash and creaks), a very noisy cooling system, very bad software from Dell, constant problems with drivers, not very high-quality keyboard. Very short battery life, besides, it slows down terribly in this mode, not only about games - you can forget about video and office programs.

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great value for the money, definitely recommended!

In general, the laptop is simply gorgeous. All games run at ultra-high settings without any lags. Metro Exodus does not sag below 40 fps. I made an undervolt (the instructions are immediately googled on YouTube), the maximum temperature has dropped to 90 degrees, it is comfortable to play, the fingers do not burn on the keyboard. I am very glad that I chose it, and not the neighboring MSI. Waiting for Dying Light 2 and Cyberpunk, ready to meet :)

Pros
  • - 2060 RTX graphics card. - Overall powerful laptop, great i7-9650h processor. - 256GB SSD, competitors have only 128 for a similar price. - The price is around 100k, for a 17" gaming laptop it's great, plus Windows 10 is already installed. - Ports and cables at the back, nothing interferes with the side. - 17 inch screen, matte. - Great design
Cons
  • In fact, only minor flaws. But know them before buying: - The screen has a few small light spots around the edges. Not critical, I noticed only on a black screen when loading. In games you don't notice at all. - Large and heavy power supply. - A lot of marriage with broken pixels, check when buying, sometimes there are 19 broken pixels, I didn’t take the laptop 2 times, I was waiting for the next one. - The touchpad is shifted strongly to the left, in games the hand strives to lie on it. - Along the edges of the keyboard, 2 cm of free space, it was possible not to squeeze the clave so much. - The 2022 font on the keys is just awful, non-standard and crooked. - It's a pity there is no standard fan noise setting. It makes a lot of noise in games. There is a "quiet" mode in the Dell software, but it does not work in games. Without undervolting in games, it heats up to almost 100 degrees. Outside of games, the laptop is silent.

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A good quality product, I rate this purchase perfectly.

The main question that worries everyone. CPU TROTLING. Yes, at high speeds the processor must heat up. Here it happens quickly and easily reaches 92-96 degrees. Immediately on the stone, which has reached the peak, the thermal package is triggered and the temperature drops by 75. Then the process is repeated (heating and falling). I thought to put a program with a decrease in voltage, but so far I have not. To be honest (I'm not a bot - a living person): I had several heavy editing programs…

Pros
  • This is really a top-end laptop so far: the performance (and I need it for video editing) is very decent. The combination of a powerful processor and a cool graphics card does the trick. Here, not only performance, but also, which is important, the laptop holds all tasks at once: editing programs, programs for special effects and a heavy game can be opened here at the same time - but nothing slows down. Here is a cool IPS monitor with good color reproduction (I compare it with my old laptop, where there was a TNT matrix) The build is also good, by the way. I read in reviews about a wobbly touchpad, a flimsy case, gaps. I think this is the case when there is a factory marriage. My laptop is assembled soundly: nothing creaks, everything works.
Cons
  • - It's hard for me. I guess I'm getting old, but carrying it in a bag is not as comfortable as my last one (15 - inch). - Rear power input. Stylish, of course, but close to the wall is no longer put. Interferes with the power cable!) - Well and so - vkusovschina on trifles. But these are my hiccups.

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Beyond praise! The product definitely deserves your attention.

It is extremely strange that you have to make changes to the processor settings in order for the laptop to work at 100 percent. Only after undervolting did throttling take place and temperatures returned to normal. Pros: I took this laptop for work and for games. In all respects, an excellent laptop. The video card is super, it pulls everything on ultra settings. The CPU for the laptop is also excellent, I took it to render small scenes in 3ds max, it also copes with a bang. Corona Benchmark…

Exactly what I needed, it's a great buy, I recommend it.

In principle, I am satisfied with the purchase. But if the disadvantages were eliminated, then there would be no price for him. Got pros: Really powerful laptop. With a good screen, but not a retina, but not bad. Good keyboard, although the key travel is low, typing is comfortable, but playing is so-so. I would like a higher profile. Good battery life for a gaming laptop Different cons: Speaker. He is very terrible here, he crackles, wheezes and upsets. The touchpad is hard to work with. If…

Terrible quality, disappointed with the purchase.

I decided to get it just based on the qualities, and I looked at a coworker who had the same laptop but a screen that was 15.6 inches. There, on the other hand, the housing is made of metal, there are no connectors on the back, and the power enters through the side. Those. Everything makes perfect sense. By the way, 15.6 is smaller than 17 in terms of size; it differs by only one centimeter in each direction, and its screen frames are extremely thick. Has pros: Screen that looks great, strong…

Terrible quality, wasted money.

I took it purely according to the characteristics and looked at a colleague for the same laptop with a 15.6-inch screen. There, the case is metal at hand, there are no connectors at the back, power comes from the side. Those. everything is logical. By the way, 15.6 is less than 17 in size - just a centimeter in each direction, it has very thick screen frames. Has pros: Cool screen, powerful graphics card, compact size for a 17 inch screen. Cons below: very flimsy - you can’t lift it with one…

I'm impressed! Exactly the product deserves your attention.

In general, I am satisfied with the price / quality ratio (at the time of purchase 120k with delivery). Got what I expected. ATTENTION: it may not fit into a backpack for a 17 "monitor! It fits right into mine. I use it as a semi-stationary computer, only sometimes I translate from point A to point B. I don't carry it all day, so the weight doesn't really matter. In general, for a laptop of this format and purpose, it turned out to be very ergonomic.

Pros
  • You square, practice, buzz. Works, does not mess up anything. Pulls boderlands 3 at maximum speed. The ports and the power connector are conveniently located - everything is at the back, it does not interfere.
Cons
  • The video card turned out to be a stripped down version of the MAX-Q. However, it is still enough and, I hope. enough for a few more years. Hybrid hard drive. The main partition of 256 SSD is the norm, but the second HDD in 1000 in 2022 has long been morally obsolete. However, as a file cleaner it works quite well. Under load, for example in heavy games, the fans are noisy at the level of a vacuum cleaner. For such things, it is better to immediately have normal headphones. It is understandable if you look at the heat transfer of the video card. However, after leaving the game it quickly cools down and is silent in normal office applications. Little things, but slightly annoying: There are no regular buttons for turning off the touchpad - from time to time you touch and the mouse flies away. There is no standard microphone mute button - a necessary thing in today's conditions of frequent remote meetings. There is no break / pause button - I need it for work applications.

I'm impressed! Exactly the product deserves your attention.

In general - if a laptop is needed for work 10/10. There were no problems with work tasks, so that the iron did not pull something Pros below: 1) high performance. If you take it for work, it calmly pulls a few ide, a bunch of chrome tabs + a few raised virtual machines. 2) nice keyboard of the laptop. The backlight does not hurt the eyes, everything is convenient 3) Quite a nice body Got cons: 1) weight. Seriously, if you are going to go somewhere with it, look at the characteristics again…
