A typical humidifier makes a lot of noise and does not perform very well. Noise: 1 speed is quiet and not very effective, however there are some ripples at high frequencies that seem to be caused by PWM. It's possible that you won't hear it at all if the room isn't particularly quiet, but when the lights are turned on and off, the significance of this noise becomes apparent, and it generally disrupts the environment. 2 speed is not extremely loud and is effective in a general sense. But once again, with a plethora of various grating overtones already emanating from the motor and the gearbox. It is possible to apply it while you are in the room; however, it is recommended that you do not do so for an extended period of time, and due to this "not long," it will not quickly moisturize. However, according to a separate hygrometer, the humidity does not develop quickly, and the efficiency / noise ratio is low. 3 speed is noisy and blows rather vigorously. There is no interest in occupying the space at any of the three possible speeds. Moisturizes by between 5 and 15%, and I'm not entirely sure if more is required. In the winter, without the use of a humidifier, the relative humidity is between 22 and 25 percent; at 35 to 40 percent, there is a faint sensation of being in a steam room and it is stuffy. When you open the windows and let the fresh air in, the humidity level drops to 25% quite rapidly. It is foolishness to suggest that using a humidifier will make breathing easier. It is impossible to declare that the local climate has improved as a result of its use on a periodic basis, but it will eliminate or significantly lessen the sensation of the air being dry. Back a few months ago, I had planned to install a breather or inflow, but I never got around to doing it. Therefore, with a breather, its efficiency might be sufficient with some effort, but only at rates of continual operation between two and three, at which it is not very comfortable to use it. When one considers the cost and the ease of use of such products, one would anticipate that the electrical and mechanical components would be of a higher quality, free from a variety of "cheap" overtones. By the way, in terms of the ratio of their efficiency to their noise output, air conditioners come out on top. I don't have any second thoughts about making the purchase, but I probably won't do it again. The performance of humidifiers, in general, does not live up to expectations.
