Amazing Grill & BBQ Skewers

Pretty cool set. The seller sent me a set of these skewers and rugs for evaluation and review. I liked them so much I bought a second set so I have four skewers. First of all, I have to admit that I have not used carpets before. I haven't found quite the right use for them, plus I keep my grill pretty hot and they're only meant to be used up to 500 degrees. But crickets, oh crickets. I made a nice big kebab set for my family and quickly realized that I can't remember the last time I made kebab. Why not? I've always had bad luck with them. I have such a hard time turning the kebabs without the pieces spinning on the skewers. As a result, the food will be cooked unevenly and many pieces will even fall off. That's not good at all. But these skewers grind themselves into a full ring, which means they're super easy to twist: just grab the sharp end with a pair of tongs and gently flip the whole thing over (use a spatula to support the other end , if you are worried about being too rough with them). These wire skewers are nice and long. Each of them corresponds to two or two and a half ordinary wooden skewers that we usually use. Thus, each of them is ideal for a family member. I had a few concerns about these skewers: 1) They would be too hot to handle. 2) They are too difficult to clean. 3) They will be too bulky to store. I used tongs and a spatula to remove everything from the grill. I then figured I'd need my sturdy grilling glove to hold one end while removing the kebabs from the lines, but by the time I took them into the kitchen and got to work, they were already cold. Brilliant! Then, when it came time to wash the dishes, I just lathered them up and rubbed them down with a sponge. They cleaned up straight away! When I was done I just rolled them onto myself and they made a pile about 6 inches across. They fit perfectly in my grill cabinet. free to rate but liked them so much i bought another set so i have four for my family. Goodbye wooden sticks! EDIT: I've been using rugs since I first posted this review and I love them too. If you lower the temperature a bit, they're great for grilling side dishes while you roast your mains. I've used them to grill non-meat dishes for my daughter who doesn't eat meat. It's easier than trying to cook one dish indoors on the grill and something else in the pan. I have used these mats for portobello mushrooms and falafel. Both are doing great. I only have two complaints: 1. These rugs are difficult to clean if you're cooking something greasy. Because they are so flexible, they are difficult to clean in the sink. . You have to be careful with the spices you use as they won't burn like most other foods on the grill. I use a lot of vinegar based marinades on my meat. This never causes problems as the excess liquid just flows through the grates and burns off. But the same marinade cannot burn from these mats. I opened the lid of my grill and the marinade turned into a big cloud of vinegar. It actually burned my throat and after a few weeks I'm still coughing. I know it sounds silly, but just keep it in mind. Hold your breath and/or stand sideways when opening the hood. As soon as the fog mushrooms move away from the grill, everything is fine.
