After I tied a couple of LED lights to the toilet and both stopped working after a set of batteries, I decided to try something. different and maybe finally found something that works even better. Aside from the clip light, which doesn't burn very long, both had a weird mixed color phenomenon that was never a white light. Who wants blue or red eau de toilette? Although I haven't used Mr. Beams' flashlight in more than a few days, it appears to be something that can run on multiple battery packs. I hope. The light is surprisingly bright and stays on for about a minute after traffic stops. The motion sensor is quite sensitive and the mounts come with two small mounting screws and double-sided mounting tape. Another thing I like about Mr. Beams is that they use four AAA batteries instead of two; hopefully this could mean fewer battery changes. To change the batteries, simply slide the main light unit out of the mounting plate. No tiny screws to fiddle with - once the batteries are installed, the light block snaps back into the mounting plate. I installed one next to the toilet paper roll in the bathroom; not chosen the perfect place for the second. Maybe in the kitchen? :) They would be very handy in a dark closet. Or the cat box.
