I bought this backpack for one of my daughters this school year and she says it's not as heavy as her previous one (different brand and model). She says it's very comfortable and has a lot of space. We think the top of the pack gives her back good support. My eldest daughter, who used to have the same style, asked me for a new one after three years. I highly recommend this type of backpack.
