I love my compost thermometer. It's like having my own personal instructor and a free education, well almost, I did have to pay for it first. When the temp gets low it tells me I need to add more brown or green, turn it over with my garden fork or add water. And when that temp climbs I feel vindicated yes! I've had a compost pile for years, it was just.there, but this gadget brought it to life!Hey, it's the little things right?

This works as expected. Was able to determine my compost was "off” over the winter with this. Hoping to hot compost better this summer.

I’m obsessed with compost. In the past I had never attempted hot composting - partially because I didn’t own a thermometer and partially because I was just too intimidated. But I am now the proud owner of a compost thermometer and it’s so nice to be able to keep track of the temperature so I can make adjustments and have a successful hot compost pile. The box has helpful information about compost and what the temperature ranges mean. I love this product

Thermometer works great. Temperature is easy to read. Strong and sturdy. Have had no problems with it. I used it only twice and the needle fell off the dial behind the glass.!

Well designed and seems like it will take the abuse of being plunged into a mix of manure and god knows what else. Easy to read but maybe temp could be a little larger for old people mutations forget their glasses a lot. It provides a temp read out within just a few seconds of insertion. The probe is plenty long enough to get deep into the warm part of the pile.

Meter accurately reads the temperature inside the compost pile so you can make adjustments as needed.Would prefer that the meter was made in America instead of China. Other than that I have no complaints.

This is likely one of the most used devices in my pile of gardening tools. It works great, is easy to read and I can leave it in my compost pile and not worry about it getting rusty. I'm looking to buy my 2nd one soon for my 2nd compost file.

If your into composting, this thermometer is a must have. It works well, easy to read, very helpful in managing your compost pile. It has helped to increase my compost production and efficiency.

This is a must have if you're a serious composter! I purchased this item 4/12/2022 and have used it continuously. The manufacturer says you can leave the thermometer in the pile and it's weather resistant. Unfortunately, there is moisture accumulating under the thermometer face. I will email them directly to see what they have to say about this issue. There is a one year warranty on the thermometer.

Sturdy construction, works fine. Did not open the email attachment offering a composting guide. I think most people ordering a thermometer already have enough insight into that.

I have been composting for years. I have never had a compost thermometer in the past and have not really had any issues with good compost. So would I say this is a necessity - no. However, our gardening style has changed a bit and this has been awesome in determining more precisely when my compost piles are ready to turn and when ready to rest. VERY easy to use and I have been very pleased.

This thermometer is a great length for a large outdoor compost pile. It will easily reach down to the core to measure temps and the gauge has color indications for easy reading. This tool is a garden staple!
