Never had a compost thermometer before, super glad for this purchase.

I have been composting for years. I have never had a compost thermometer in the past and have not really had any issues with good compost. So would I say this is a necessity - no. However, our gardening style has changed a bit and this has been awesome in determining more precisely when my compost piles are ready to turn and when ready to rest. VERY easy to use and I have been very pleased.
