Installed on the Passat 2002.5 with the Monsoon system. Installation was pretty easy, you need special keys to remove the radio. I put the module in the glove compartment. Works mostly as advertised. As other reviewers have pointed out, it talks to you when it connects, which might be useful but can become outdated after a while. The Bluetooth functionality is extremely simple. it plays sound from your phone and that's it. Can't connect to multiple phones, can't skip tracks with the main unit. I think it's not a great value given the basic functionality. But he seems to be doing his job well. The USB port is useful for charging your phone, keep in mind that (in this generation of the Passat at least) it doesn't toggle the device's power supply. The USB port is active all the time, which can drain the battery. Even with nothing connected, no doubt it takes some power to convert 12V to 5V, hopefully just a few milliamps.
