Bluetooth works very well.

Very easy to install, works like any other Bluetooth Media Receiver. The first one I received would not connect to the car and was defective after a call to the Crux Tech Line. Revain quickly sent me a replacement and the second one works as described.

Annoying "connected " message

The annoying "crutches Bluetooth connected" message that pops up every time I get in the car, can't be turned off and is too loud (even at stereo volume) . short). This message is not required. If it's related, I'll find out quickly.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Minor issues

Perfect interface for audio and video accessories

Fitted to 2009 Touareg with optional CD changer. Works as advertised! The cable is long enough for me to put the unit in the glove box, drill a hole in the plastic and run the cable into the radio box. I only use the Bluetooth option and haven't tried the 3.5mm or USB port. As others have said: It's pretty simple and steering wheel or radio controls don't play/pause, fast forward/backward, skip.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Available in white only

Fits Golf GL 2004 without Moonson

This product fits my 4-door Golf GL 2004 with double din stereo very well. You can also ground the stereo itself by removing a screw from the stereo's metal case. Sometimes I notice a slight lag in the music but I think it's my phone because when I restart the phone there is no lag at all. Great product and CD sound quality. Bringing my Golf down to the characteristics of a 2010's car.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Works perfectly once you figure it out!

On my 2006 VW Passat I just plugged the 12 pin connector into the CD changer connector (blue connector) on the back of the head unit. Also ground one of the screws on the back of the main unit. The LED doesn't light up unless it's connected to Bluetooth, which led me to believe it wasn't working. Just press the CD button and connect to Bluetooth and everything works great. The instructions didn't give much information and I had to do some searching before I figured it out. The stereo wiring was

No Crux support for products purchased from other companies

I bought Cruz Bluetooth for my 2008 VW EOS in hopes of being able to listen to music from my phone via Bluetooth in the car. It worked fine for the first few weeks, but now I've been having trouble connecting Bluetooth to my phone for over 12 seconds. So far I have paid $150 to purchase and install and I am not satisfied with this product. Based on my experience, I wouldn't advise anyone to buy it. Crutchfield did not answer my questions about my purchase because I did not purchase it directlyโ€ฆ

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Not reliable

Apparently not all 2010 Beetles.

. It arrived along with some removal tools and I set about installing it. Completely wrong plug. The top connector on my factory stereo had three connected pieces (blue, yellow, and green) and was solid white. Contacts don't even match. Sent it back and ordered a BTS-VW1 instead which had the correct connector. I tucked the unit under the frame in the stereo cutout, bent the connector in the back of the case, plugged everything in, and turned it on. Sounds good. That is why it is rated highlyโ€ฆ

Pros
  • . High marks for support and durability from testers.
Cons
  • . Appearance.

Installed on the Passat 2002.5 with the Monsoon system. Installation was pretty easy, you need special keys to remove the radio. I put the module in the glove compartment. Works mostly as advertised. As other reviewers have pointed out, it talks to you when it connects, which might be useful but can become outdated after a while. The Bluetooth functionality is extremely simple. it plays sound from your phone and that's it. Can't connect to multiple phones, can't skip tracks with the main unitโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Turns off randomly.

Updated on 03/21/2021 The connection keeps randomly disconnecting. Sometimes I hear a crackling sound coming from the car speakers and when I tap the device with my hand it reconnects. It will be fine for a while, but every once in a while it will revert to a random shutdown. Poor quality control in production/assembly. So I bought this a while ago. It was easy to install and worked great. However, it was randomly and constantly disconnecting and reconnecting. I've searched the internet andโ€ฆ
