For some reason my Surface Pro's microphone stopped working properly. It's too soft and works messy. I tried to set it up in the settings but I couldn't. There's nothing more frustrating than giving a presentation only to find the audience can't hear you. This microphone solved the problem. You install it on the included stand, plug it in, and the computer will find it automatically. It couldn't be easier. The sound is more stable and better than my tablet. The microphone has a dial that you can use to adjust the volume. It has another dial for adjusting bass and treble. There's also a headphone slot, but I haven't used it yet. Finally, there is a button that allows you to mute the microphone. Normally this button is green, but when you press it, it turns red and the color inside the microphone changes to purple. It's good to have that color in the mic, but it doesn't serve any real functional purpose. I have two problems with this microphone. First, it's relatively large and takes up space on my desk, especially with the stand. Second, the microphone doesn't have an on/off switch. You can turn it off, but it's still on and getting power from my computer's battery.
