For a few dollars more, I purchased this metal release handle instead of the plastic release handle and couldn't be happier. These are truly heavy duty. In my opinion, this will last the lifetime of the love seat instead of buying the plastic ones every couple of years when they always break. Be aware these are smooth and shiny black, not the dimpled flat black plastic of the original part. Picked this up to replace the plastic part on the original sectional recliner. It is MUCH sturdier (metal) than the original (plastic), fit the location perfectly, and took maybe 5 minutes to install (and part of that was getting the sectional piece hooked back in to the other sectional pieces). I should have bought the 2 pack so I'd have one for the other end of the sectional when it breaks, but my wife is much gentler on her end.

Great product sturdy all metal construction, should last better then the original plastic.I had to trim some of the metal to allow the handle to travel further out, to unlock the over center lock mechanism to release the foot rest out. Otherwise it won’t unlock the mechanism.First, the cable that connects to the handle, the pin is smaller to the handles connecting point. It is hard to find a part to be the right replacement but this one is. The quality is better than the original one on the chair. It’s metal and the one on the chair is plastic. Go figure! So I ordered another one for the other side. Great replacement!

The handle rotation is about 90 degrees, and about 110 degress was required on the old handle I had. What I needed to do is toput the cable through the slot in the handle so that the cable end was actually beyond the hole where it would normally go. I then used duct tape to keep it in place Works fine.Too bad my original $1000 sofa didn't have this nice a handle. I wouldn't have had to replace it.

I bought this because it is metal and the size of the part that was measured was right. The part that is not measured is the total length of the pulling mechanism where the wire fits. The overall length is about half and inch shorter than the Lanes. I did not realize this until I put it on and tried to lift the foot rest and I had to reach down and manually lift it. The plastic recliner release snapped on me the other night, I had no idea that Walmart had them available, or how easy the replacement/repair was. I ordered this on the weekend, it was here on Monday, took 5 minutes to install. It's a perfect fit and feels much stronger than the plastic release it replaced. I don't know why furniture even comes with the plastic releases, they always break!This is a nice, heavy-duty metal one -> it's what should've been on it originally!Installed easily. One caveat - there's a small wire clip that holds the cable in place, it was just loose in the plastic wrapping and I almost missed it and threw it away - look for it and keep track of it until you get the release installed.

This is a very well built replacement handle for the cheap plastic one that came with the couch. It is easy to install and very pleased with the results. I will buy this again if another factory one breaks. Took about 15 minutes to replace the broken one.

This replacement is a durable one for the low-quality plastic the couch I have came with. The only bad part to it was the clip used to hold the pin in place almost didn't fit the part. I had to use pliers to pry it and reshape it into the correct place.

Our couch had a cheaper plastic version of this handle which broke. The furniture company didn't sell replacements. We found this on Walmart and it was easy to install and fit perfectly. Works great and is a much better quality than the one that came on our couch.

I bought this to replace a broken plastic lazyboy lever. Perfect fit and very easy to install (I only bought the handle so I can’t speak as to installation if a replacement cable. ) The only negative I have is there were no instructions on how to thread the cable into the lever. It’s easy once you look at the handle operation but instructions would be good.

Perfect fit, feels stronger than the original plastic one.The only issue was there were burrs inside the hole where the pin goes. I had to ream out the hole so I could install it.
