Review on ReliaBot MGN9C Carriage Linear Motion by Michael Schafer

I bought one of these to convert my printer's X axis and it was relatively smooth out of the box. Took it apart, cleaned everything with isopropyl alcohol and re-greased with Krytox and it was amazingly smooth. Then I decided to buy another one to upgrade another printer and the quality was significantly worse. The second could not move without electricity. There was a lot of tying and lacing. I wanted to clean it up but when I checked the rail there was about 1mm of deflection in the middle. This is probably the reason for the binding. 1mm in the middle of a 350mm rail is very bad. I'm sending the second one back.
