Works well but keep expectations under control. I installed it on top of the back of an enclosed trailer so I can see what's in the back while driving and parking as the center rear view mirror is useless and the side mirrors can't see directly behind the trailer. The camera and its antennas are located under the top edge of the trailer, but the lack of line of sight to the monitor on the truck's dashboard is not a problem; distance about 20 feet. The device does a pretty good job, but keep in mind that it's only really good for a fairly close distance from the trailer. Two reasons: 1) The extreme fisheye lens makes objects hundreds of feet behind too small to see. No problem, because if you want to see that far behind, the side mirrors come into play. Because of this lens, things are MUCH closer than they appear - more than what you see in a regular passenger side mirror. But the wide angle comes in handy for seeing everything around the rear trailer. 2) The picture is quite dark during the day - much darker than in the side mirrors. Again, this isn't a problem if you just rely on the device being close to the trailer. Interestingly, in the late afternoon/evening when daylight fades, the image on the monitor is actually BRIGHTER than in the mirrors. Obviously it's in the aperture. Overall I'm happy with the unit and I liked the fact that I didn't have to run any cables between the trailer and the truck.
