Elderly Ease of Use

I bought this heater for my 88 year old mother-in-law who has become much more sensitive to the cold this year. We have a large open great room next to the open kitchen so I wasn't expecting it to heat the entire room. However, it heats the 8x8 foot area and especially the spot where she sits on the couch. Anywhere on the sofa is comfortable with this heater. I also wanted simple controls as the remote control would be too complicated. She can use it and it warms her legs that hurt on a cold morning. She is very happy with the heater and I am very happy with my purchase.
