Currently the best general light for books

******************UPDATE March 2021*********** ***** ** ***** The seller sent us back. They said they consulted with their engineers and can confirm the light typically runs at 0.5 watts. So you can read for hours in any light (from warm white to amber) while consuming less than a watt of electricity. Great product so far from a conscientious seller who answers questions very quickly and politely. Brilliant! ***** First test ***** We have tried two dozen book lights over the past two years. Either they are too bright or not quite amber (yellowish or bright white) or not flexible enough (hard necks) or they have too short a battery life. We only used this light for one day, but compared to our next favorite, it ALSO provides true amber (not just yellow) light for comfortable viewing in low light. The presence of other colors of light - yellow and warm white - is an added bonus. We can only take this lantern on a trip instead of taking many lanterns for different reading conditions. In addition, the gooseneck of this lantern is extremely flexible. We can stably position the light in any position you want. The battery is advertised as "up to 70 hours" (minimum value?). If we could get at least 35 hours on the lowest tier, we'd be happy. The power consumption is given as 1W. We asked the seller if this is universal or just for specific settings. Ideally, we want a book light that draws no more than 0.5 watts on its lowest setting. We will notify you when the seller replies. So far, this is one of the two book lights we like the most. If the company stays, we will replace our many book lights with this very brand.
