Huge improvement over my old router

I wanted to write this review for anyone who currently has a slower and less reliable WiFi and is thinking of upgrading to a router that will improve WiFi speed and signal fi. I did a little research before purchasing and it only took a day, but I am very happy with this router. I used a Wise Tiger 1200Mbps wireless router, also purchased from Revain at the time for about $25 (https://www.amazon.com/WISE-TIGER-Wireless-1200mbps-Restaurant/) dp/B07CWVR1KH). This router was advertised as "Long Range" but it is not. I bought the Nighthawk primarily to improve WiFi range. I have a two-storey house with an area of 3300 square meters. Feet so my wifi didn't reach certain parts of the house, mainly the upstairs bedrooms and the basement. My router was on the ground floor. I installed Nighthawk in the same location and setup was SUPER EASY using my iPhone with the Netgear app. It will walk you through everything and will take about 10 minutes. I immediately noticed a HUGE improvement in my speed and range. I pay for 100Mbps (although I upgraded to 200Mbps and didn't get it due to an issue with Xfinity they confirmed) and only got about 85Mbps which is fine but my Wi- Fi kept dropping out. My first speed test (on 5G) with Nighthawk was 238 Mbps! My first speed test on 2.4 was 99.5 Mbps. I couldn't believe it. And speeds in my basement and furthest away bedrooms have been in excess of 200Mbps on 5G, where previously 5G couldn't even reach those parts of my house. Now I have a complete signal. So I didn't even get half the speed I was able to get a year and a half before upgrading this router. The app also offers the ability to see any device (I have about 25-30, lots of tablets, Nintendo Switches and iPhones) and you can pause them (if the kids are acting like idiots :)) which is a great feature. It also runs a vulnerability scan every time a device comes online and notifies you on your phone. Like I said it was only 1 day but I think I can say it was definitely worth the money spent. And as a factory refurbished item, it looked brand new. I definitely recommend switching to this router.
