Review on 🔊 Sony HTX8500 2.1ch Dolby Atmos/DTS:X Soundbar with Integrated Subwoofer in Black by Michael Briggs

For a long time I watched TV using only the TV's built-in speakers and when my air purifier and air conditioner are on it can be a bit difficult to hear the TV fully. So I decided to look for a better solution and after some research settled on this soundbar. Despite many rave reviews, I was very disappointed with this soundbar. I will say that it was very easy to set up; Just plug it into your TV and a power outlet and you're done. However, the sound quality was surprisingly poor. Even after spending a few hours playing around with different audio settings, I couldn't find anything that sounded better than the TV's built-in speakers. Here's a short list of why I brought it back: The sound quality is below average and the clarity is no better than my TV's built-in speakers. I was expecting a significant improvement in sound quality, but was shocked at how small the difference was. I've tried all different settings, mixed and matched with different content but couldn't find a combination that worked well. - Confusing remote control and settings resulting in random lights on dashboard. Some of the indicators mean different settings, and there's no clear way to know which is which without looking at the manual. - Lack of precise volume control. Every step is big; it's either too quiet or too loud. Bass is missing or too strong depending on 3 settings. for what you get. I will have to look elsewhere for a better soundbar and do not recommend buying this. Luckily, free returns are both quick and easy.
