Beautiful looks - good performance - bad sound

Listen to other reviews about muffled voice - loud but not great cinema sound of this movie soundbar. However, I didn't get directional room noise even with movies with Dolby Atmos encoded audio. Of course the sound was loud and the bass filled my entire tiny room. However, it sounded like it was coming from the soundbar and no better than the $150 Yamaha NON Atmos soundbar I had. I could live with that, but the voice was just "muffled" in all settings - even the advanced dialog settings for my

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Not as thick as other models

I wanted to improve the sound for the 4k TV that my wife and I bought for our bedroom. I did some research on Atmos enabled soundbars. Most of them are extremely expensive and come with other attachments. While I don't mind a dedicated subwoofer, this is for the bedroom. So I don't want my neighbors to hate me, and as much as I would like the Sonos Arc, it's just not in the budget right now. I read many reviews about this product and decided to risk it. I'm not the least bit disappointed. This…

Recommended with reservation

I was hoping for slightly better bass response and clarity based on the reviews, although it's certainly better than the built in speakers in my TV. I think the sound quality is pretty decent for the price. I'm not a big fan of most of the available presets, so I usually just set the output to neutral and the bass to mid. The controller is a bit complex and using it without a manual would be a nightmare, but luckily the manual is clear and structured so it wasn't too difficult to figure out how

Unique speaker value

The market for soundbars without an external subwoofer is very small. And even less if you want better than the "simple" options. This product is unique in that it has a built-in subwoofer and is compatible with Dolby Atmos. In addition, the price is lower than the mainstream products of many respected professional brands such as Bose or Sonos. During the study, many reviewers noted that the sound is not very good; it is fuzzy and "square" especially in the midrange at high volume. But those…

Extremely disappointed

For a long time I watched TV using only the TV's built-in speakers and when my air purifier and air conditioner are on it can be a bit difficult to hear the TV fully. So I decided to look for a better solution and after some research settled on this soundbar. Despite many rave reviews, I was very disappointed with this soundbar. I will say that it was very easy to set up; Just plug it into your TV and a power outlet and you're done. However, the sound quality was surprisingly poor. Even after…

Not perfect, but very close

In the preface to this review, I've been working with surround sound home audio equipment since the early days of the first Dolby-to-VHS products on the market. .Like many people I am in a position where I really wanted to have a much better sound than what was available through my TV but in reality I didn't want or couldn't spend half or more of what I already have for paid for the TV. I decided to budget around $200-$300 for a soundbar and started my research. Living in an apartment at this…
