It has two speeds and sews really well!

This seems to a decent little sewing machine. I have sewn for over 45 yrs so am pretty proficient at. I bought this little "NEX” machine because it had good reviews. The biggest reason was that it had a low and high speed. Between that and the reviews, and studying on sewing machines for two days I chose this one. Our youngest granddaughter was thrilled with it and has already made two or three of the little projects that are in the beginning sewing book that we got her to go with her machine. I think this was a good buy. Only time will tell for sure!

It is recommended to study the instructions in the package patiently before using. Of course, the operation video on the website will make it easier for you to use this sewing machine. Before children use it, they must have experienced adults to help them study it. The portable sewing machine comes with NEX At Your Side support offering free technical support via email for the life of your machine.

Cons

Tension dial is stiff and difficult to turn, requiring extra effort to adjust
