Review on Armchair BRADEX HOME EGG CHAIR, 85 x 76 cm, upholstery: artificial leather, color: brown by Wiktor Wasilewski ᠌

Terrible purchase, only wasted money.

There were no online reviews of the chair at the time of purchase, so I took a gamble, which I later deeply regretted. Overall, purchasing the chair gives you the very unwelcome impression that you obtained a subpar China imitation. The chair shouts, "You saved and bought inexpensive Chinese consumer items," despite all appearances to the contrary. Simply put, the seams are unsightly, and there are spots where the inner upholstery is another color. The handle for the angle adjustment mechanism is shoddy plastic that has been put together incorrectly. The cloth isn't very good in and of itself. Sadly, there was no opportunity in St. Petersburg to see the chair in person; had there been, I would never have purchased one. If you don't want to be let down, look at chairs from other manufacturers that are comparable.

Pros
  • somewhat less costly than competing brands
Cons
  • 1. The instruction manual states that the inclination angle can be changed. The angle adjustment does not, however, function. The power to reject the chair's back becomes available when the handle is "drawn out," as instructed in the instructions. Nevertheless, since the handle is "inserted" back with only one position of the chair — horizontal — there is no option to "change the position of the chair, choosing a pleasant angle of inclination." The handle is not "inserted" at any other "convenient" angles of inclination. The mechanism is broken or does not match what is described in the instruction book. 2. The chrome-plated portion of the handle showed signs of use on both sides, including deep scratches. The scratched handle also had adhesive residue and foam rubber fragments adhering to it. 3. The inner fabric portion of the upholstery seam is clearly visible and is a very different shade of brown from the chair's color (graphite).
