They fit perfectly in the rubbish bin and still have space. I secure the overhang with a pair of bungee cords. I'm a kitty litter and I've been throwing bags of used litter in the trash all week. By the end of the week he should weigh about 100 pounds with everything. I watch as the scavengers try to pick it up and then have the truck grab it and throw it away. I also keep one in my bin and just tension it with a bungee so the bag stays put if the truck tips the bin over.
