From my daughter: When I moved to a place without a sliding glass door, I needed something for my cat to lie in front of the window. She spends most of the day in this tree. My only "complaint" would be the upper basket. Not sure if it's too big, too unstable, not deep enough, difficult to reach or all together but my cat is afraid to be in it. If it was some other flat surface I think she would use it more. Overall it was very easy to put together and appears to be made of quality materials. Unfortunately, I can't say anything about the durability of the claws, as my cat's claws were removed before I rescued her. But I find her on it most of the time and she definitely likes the size advantage it gives her when she and the pup decide to play. :D
