Bottom line: headlights are good, they give you about 50-60 feet ahead and light up everything from side to side, but headlights are useless. I wanted to use them to control the high beams (here it's allowed) but my Auxito 9005 bulbs outshine it a lot (when my trebles are on I can't tell if the LED strip is on, all I can say is (as the side of the road is clearer than 20 feet ahead I see no difference on the road). For durability I had to drive over 1 hour last night in pouring rain and flooded roads, the beam withstood its own durability) Now for a longer tirade: I drove a 3rd generation 4runner with standard high beams (halogen bulbs) and I drove four outer Hellas Added 500F incandescent (halogen, I'd say 5500K light, traditional yellowish halogen), these old-school halogen lights shine a block down the street (200 feet) to make it easier to spot a tennis ball on the Street. Inow switched to a 5th Gen 4runner, replaced the stock halogen bulbs with Auxito 9005 LEDs (very good, recommend, see my other review) but still needed a good external light source to illuminate at least 150ft down the road. I expected (maybe hoped) that this wheel would do the job, but it definitely doesn't. I mounted the front grille with special supports. long but basic, it's not what i expected. Bar light is good when driving off-road at low speed (I drive fire trails at 30 km/h, it lights up the area quite well, but it is NOT a high beam/headlamp (I am considering switching to HELLA PENCIL.)
