I've done a lot of research on Ad Hoc and the reviews have been excellent. All other salt and pepper grinders didn't last more than a year. Of course, they weren't expensive, so I opted for an expensive, well-made product. I cook A LOT. I use this every day. Part of the pepper mill simply broke. Though it says stainless steel construction, the inside is plastic. Also, the end of the salt grinder is no longer flush with the stainless steel ring, making it look crooked. What happened! I just got a lemon? Everyone else said they had 10-20 years, so I thought it was a very good investment. Well I guess it wasn't for me.
