Review on πŸ§‚ Sockeroos Refillable Spice Mill: Solid Wood Salt and Pepper Grinder with Ceramic Rotor, Steel Core, and Adjustable Coarseness by Dan Bobbert

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Surprised how well it works!

We've tried a lot of pepper grinders - the ones with a twist knob just work loose and eventually break - the battery operated ones die too quickly and don't grind well - pre-filled where you just turn the lid, not enough adjustment and chunks come out, it doesn't grind. I recently found reviews of coffee grinders in Cook's Illustrated that a "good/great" grinder costs $35+! Then I saw this at Revain - for those of you who love freshly ground pepper this is a purchase you won't regret, especially for the price. The photos they show at the various locations are accurate and we love that we finally have some fresh, finely ground peppers. It's highly adjustable, large parts won't accidentally fall out, and it looks beautiful. Others have found that the cavity inside doesn't hold much, but it's actually not that bad and I think you'll want to refill it more often to keep it fresher. I would definitely buy it as a gift for someone and maybe even our salt.

Pros
  • Fully adjustable. Turn the bottom knob to grind spices from fine to coarse
Cons
  • Can't remember
