Stays in place, good on porous wall. Leaves no sticky residue.

Purchased as a Dry Erase Bulletin Board Sticker Line Setter. easy to deal with. My wall is quite porous, but the tape sticks well, doesn't leave marks, and is difficult to peel off. As for laying color lines and painting over I can't say as I didn't buy it and didn't use it for that purpose.
