The light is quite bright with a good adjustment range from dim to very bright. The color options are good and each of the three colors has its uses. The most impressive thing for the price is the quality of the lens. There are no obvious flaws, and the field of view is even, with almost no flare around the edges, which is pretty good for a 5x (8x) magnification with a single lens. It's not exactly what I was hoping for, but I expected it, so I bought it just to see how well it works for me and to help me decide what I really want. I expect it will be very useful for some detail, but for more general use I need a slightly lower magnification and a significantly larger lens. I am not at all disappointed and would buy a version more suitable for my needs from this supplier, I have found it.
