Review on 🐕 Dogtra YS300: Compact Rechargeable Waterproof No Bark Collar for Dogs by Molly Hoffman

Money well spent! fits collars

I have a charming but very happy Maltese who is ten years old. I've tried putting a shock collar on him before but he squeaked and I freaked out, that's all. However, we live in an apartment building and my neighbors certainly don't appreciate his constant need to vocalize, so we tried the shock collar again. Pros: • It has a Dogtra name that I trust. I had previously bought another Dogtra collar for my larger dog that worked great, so this time I specifically looked for a Dogtra collar because I "trusted" it. Although it's more expensive than some other bark collars, it's worth the price. My dog wears it most of the day (I always take it off at night) and he hasn't had any problems with irritation. He very rarely even scratches himself. • It really works! Now that our pup is wearing this collar, our house is MUCH quieter. I would say it took him about 2 electric shocks to understand that barking is not allowed. Sometimes it still checks the limits, but very rarely. He no longer barks when we walk in the door, or when people walk towards us, or when my other dog walks past him, and so on. Even if he is still a bit irritable on the outside, he usually calms down when he hears a warning vibration. Cons: • It shocked him several times when it shouldn't have. What I mean by that is that there didn't seem to be a cautionary tale, and that's not cool. I don't know if the vibration was caused somehow, which I didn't notice and the warning was ignored, or if it failed. However, he was shocked when he didn't bark, which isn't cool. • My only wish is that this collar is smaller. I have no idea how the technology in it works, so I have no idea how it's possible, but it would certainly be better if it was less of a hassle. All in all it was $60 spent! If only I had done this 10 years earlier!
