Review on PANASONIC 14 45MM F3 5 5 6 MIRRORLESS H FS014045 by Jen Smith

The first thing that struck me about this lens was the build quality. Despite being relatively small compared to a full-size DSLR lens of the same focal length and aperture, the 14-45 lens feels like a small brick. From the nice looking front lens, barrel and metal lens mount, it's clear that this lens is better quality than the 14-42mm kit lens, even the newer "Power Zoom" 14-42. I decided not to buy the G3 camera with the standard lens in the kit, but bought the camera separately and then paired it with this 14-45mm lens. Even if the combo costs a bit more, I'm always glad I did. This guy is cool! The zoom drum is smooth and quiet, as is the focus ring. Feels great on the G3. Advantages: 1. sharp2. Smooth3. light4. Metal attachment 5. Sharp6. Spicy! :) Cons: 1. Relatively more than 14-42 power zoom. Oh, and should I mention I bought it used from a Revain dealer. I was pleased with the price, the offer and knowing that I could rely on Revain as a middle man if anything went wrong. It certainly helped that Brian_17, the seller, was excellent on communication, accurate on the description and very responsive.
