Review on Everlast Elite Style Training Gloves by Adam French

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Honest Detailed Review

I am a person who loves boxing and have been doing it for many years. I also love collecting different boxing gloves. So this is just an unbiased review. PRICE AND MONEY VALUE First of all, people talk about Neverlast and give it 1 or 2 stars. What did you expect? This is a glove that regularly sells for $30. You can't compare that with anything more expensive. Everlast has $100+ gloves that are better quality but you get what you pay for. You need to approach this with realistic expectations. I have now given these gloves 4 stars. Comfort was a 4 and value was a 4. I bought these gloves for $35. They cost 30-35 dollars. Looks like her current Revain price is $44. Yes, they are not worth it. This is a 2 star glove for $44 but a 4 star glove for $30. The gloves look unique and different from some other gloves in the $30-40 range, but they are not top quality even in this price range. You can find nicer boxing gloves from Title or Sanabul on the website for $25-$35. If you really want to spend $40 there are Rival Econo pocket gloves which are much better. The gloves are also slightly curved so you hit more with your knuckles, but a lot of people don't like it because it just feels a bit odd compared to other regular gloves. I didn't mind at all. Can actually be good for people who like throwing hooks. QUALITY These are not the best quality gloves but they are strong enough. Also in this price range. I bought 2 pairs on purpose because they were on sale and I didn't think they would last long even before I bought them. This should tell you a lot. Surprisingly they've held up well so far, but I change my gloves every week. The faux leather material is really thin. Seems very thin. It also doesn't bond well with the interior material. It looks like the photo but not real. They have big gloves inside and they fit me because I have big hands. The mesh is thin and not the best quality but my hands sweat a lot so I really like it because it lets them breathe really well. The mesh also makes the gloves nice to break in. BAG WORK They're more suited to bag work, but you can use them for sparring without too much trouble. Because of the eternal shield, the weight is distributed differently. There isn't much padding in the hitting area and it's also quite stiff when new. Great for pocket work and good for sparring after it's broken a bit. I didn't have a single sparring partner who said anything bad. CONCLUSION These are solid 4 star gloves if you can find them for $30-$35. I wouldn't pay much more for them. Even in the $30 range there are much better gloves out there if you look closely. The gloves are very comfortable and look good. Treat them well and they'll last a while depending on how often you box and what type of work you use them for.
