Review on ๐Ÿ”ฎ Vibra-TITE - 11110 111 Low Strength Removable Anaerobic Threadlocker - 10ml Bottle - Purple by Darrell Shreves

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good value for any thread that you tighten but then still need to loosen slightly.

remember that volumes of 50ml and 250ml are sold in one bottle size, so the volume of 50ml is only 1/5 filled, they don't fool you, they just don't use one medium bottle for packing 50ml size. Low strength purple threadlocker is hard to find and overpriced if you can find it in my area. This material at this price supplied to me by Revain is the best option for me. Note that their formula differs slightly from Locktite's signature purple color. Vibra-TITE is slightly thinner, spreads slightly more easily and is more "anaerobic" when dry than Loctite Purple Threadlocker. "Anaerobic drying" formulations dry when tightly sealed and not exposed to atmospheric oxygen compared to traditional drying as the paint dries over time. What this means for thread sealant is that it dries (sometimes almost instantly) when the threads are tight and creates an airtight seal in the threads when all the slack (weakness in the threads) is eliminated. This means the Vibra-TITE material is working. great for things you tighten but doesn't work as well with threads you never tighten like carburetor adjustment screws, the more expensive Locktite brands work better for them. However, for anything that you need to tighten tightly and still need to remove easily later, but don't want it to come loose on its own. This is the one to use! Works great for everything from tiny set screws to 2" threads unless in a heavy duty application. At this point I'll go for the blue or red firmness levels, but they're better suited for unscrewing later.
