My shoe size is 8.5 and a size 9 fits me almost perfectly (it's a bit big but the next size would be 8 and would be too tight). They are very breathable, have a comfortable feel (much better than Keen water shoes) and are lightweight. Getting in the water while kayaking was very easy. The soles are protected from small stones and shells along the entire beach, and the water drained off fairly quickly. My feet didn't smell either. However, I would not use this shoe for everyday use as the thin fabric wears out quicker than tennis or hiking shoes.
