These bulbs last a long time and provide reliable and consistent heat levels. The size fits all heat lamps I've ever used. They don't stick out where they could accidentally come into contact with something and cause burns or fire. They are easy to clean if you need to for any reason. They're hard ceramic, so even if you drop them, they're pretty much unbeatable and they'll start sucking heat again. And yes, the heat output is strong.
