Poor quality - heat lamps and terrarium mats

Lamps should last 2000 hours or about 19 weeks. The first lamp I used only lasted 20 days or 300 hours. And now I noticed that the price of the product went up by $15, don't waste your money folks.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Good but not great

Good price compared to the local pet store

I buy in bulk for what 1 or maybe 2 packs retail. I love supporting local businesses, but not to the point where I pay double or triple what I would pay for Revain. They've been around as long as a retail store, which isn't long enough for me, but it has been.

Problem with lightbulbs Again

I am writing again because I put in a new lightbulb last week and it is already dead. It's a terrible game and we're not happy. What we can do? We've ordered them before and we really like them. They don't last as long as they should. I have already replaced 4 bulbs from our new batch. We turn off the lights at night so they last longer. Do you have the feeling that something is wrong?

Pros
  • Convenient to use
Cons
  • Not sure

No durability on heat lamps and terrarium mats

These lamps last me about 40 days on average. The last one takes only 1.5 hours. I emailed the company directly hoping for a reply but have not received a reply yet. You can only look, most of these reviews are talking about the same thing. It's a good price but I would pay more for a different brand for longer life. Unfortunately, there aren't many other brands. The only reason I gave 3 stars instead of 2 was the price for a 6 pack.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

Lightbulbs don't last. Some die after 24 hours

available I used to always use this brand for my bearded dragons. The first sentences were great. They will last for a few months. Then suddenly they ceased to exist. I ordered a multipack so I change them all the time. Some lasted a week, maybe two. The rest went out in less than a week, with the two fastest shipping within 24 hours. Thinking I might have gotten a bad batch, I ordered more. Same results again. For the price I expect much better quality. Now I've switched brands and will never…

Short lifespan. - Terrarium Heat Lamps and Mats

First of all they always arrive on time, nicely packaged. That being said, I think it's time to find another brand of heat lamp. I had to buy 6 packs of these onions almost every 90 days. I have 4 tanks that use them and they last an average of 30 to 45 days before burning out which is just soooo much money. They used to last quite a long time (8-12 months++) but in the last two years it's almost become a joke, it's like playing Russian roulette every morning as we boot up the tanks and find…

Safe and Reliable - Heat Lamps

We use these lamps for our bearded dragons and a few western lizards. These bulbs will fit most heaters (and will fit most regular appliances too). It is mushroom shaped and has a silver reflector around the convex part of the bulb to direct more heat to the heating point. They are safer than some other lamps so I feel better to use them for our pets. The only downside we've ever come across is that they tend to burn out quickly, especially when pushed a lot. Ordering this online creates some…

Cheap but short lived

I bought these 4 packs of giant bulbs for my bearded dragons - the price seemed good and with 4 packs I wouldn't have to run to the pet store to buy bulbs every few months. They are short lived however - the first bulb I installed blew out after 2 days - that's around 20 hours of use compared to the 2000 hours it says on the box. The second bulb I installed lasted longer but it burned out after about 10 days so maybe 200 hours of use. I'm on bulb #3 right now and will see how long this one…

  • Best in niche

  • Very expensive

Bad lamp base? Best of Heat Lamps

I bought this item for my bearded dragon on January 1st because the price was great. Good thing I have six lightbulbs! I just installed my latest yesterday and it's only May 25th. Two of them exploded within three weeks, and the remaining three broke off the lamp base. I had to use needle nose pliers to unscrew the base from the socket. Talk about problems; Not to mention the fire hazard! I will try these bulbs again; Maybe I just got a bad batch, but I'll keep a close eye on it. By the way, I…
