I care for about 9 feral kitties. I bought this product in preparation for a recent cold spell, and the kitties figured out its benefits right away. I have it plugged in to an outdoor outlet on the side of the house -- using an outdoor extension cord. Two kitties fit on the smaller pad quite easily -- and they do share it. It's a great item and I've very glad I bought it. I plan to leave it out for the remainder of the winter. (I live in Oklahoma.)

I'm sorry to say I'm very disappointed with this item. The washable cover was poorly made. One of the sides wasn't even stitched together and the rest of the sides were barely closed. I fixed the cover myself and replaced the zipper. Since the cover didn't stay on my dog was able to rip off the plug on the inflatable pad. It no long holds any air to help keep him comfortable. I won't be suggesting this to any of my friends.

Dogs love this. It is a little slippery but I covered it with cloth and dogs love it. Keeps them warm but doesn't heat up until dogs lay on it.

I liked the chew-proof cord, the waterproof covering, and the cat-level temperature. The pad fits in an outdoor dog kennel that's covered with a duvet and rug and occupied by 2 feral cats. I suppose the fact that they spend all day sleeping in the kennel should be evidence that at least it isn't doing any harm. Our neighbor’s barn cat has taken up residence at our house. We have cats inside and they will fight him so we have to leave him outside. This heating pad has worked amazing for my 18 year and 15 year old cats. Our weather can get down to 20 degrees or lower and we do get snow here and there. Our cats were very comfortable sitting on their pad outdoors in the carport. I would really recommend it. You just plug it in. The soft outside pad is washable.

My outdoor, once feral cat, loves the heat from this. He now wants food and water to be closer to his bed so that he doesn't leave the heat! It is really a great item. I was afraid that it may get too hot but that is not a problem at all. Wish it had a temperature setting but it doesn't seem to bother the way it works.
