I bought this because an outside stray adopted my friend and I. She basically became part of the family although we had to keep her outside as there are two possessive domestic cats indoors. Anyway, we built her a house and feed her twice a day. When winter came, I wanted her to be very comfortable so I bought this heating pad for her. Well she became very possessive of it, never wanting to leave and throwing out other stray cats that are also attracted to this pad. She is so comfortable with this pad and I know so because we also have a tiny camera inside her home! Now her and friend have a warm place to live and I couldn’t be happier!The heating pad absolutely works. Temperatures outside have sunk to about between 17F degrees and she’s been cuddled up on the heating pad without a problem! When I put my hand inside her house, her body feels very warm. I strongly recommend this heating pad for stray cats. Not sure about dogs or how they will react to it but definitely for outside cats.
