My outdoor, once feral cat, loves the heat from this. He now wants food and water to be closer to his bed so that he doesn't leave the heat! It is really a great item. I was afraid that it may get too hot but that is not a problem at all. Wish it had a temperature setting but it doesn't seem to bother the way it works.
